Handyman Business Plan – How to Write One

Creating a handyman business plan does not have to be complicated or detailed. A simple and straightforward business plan will do the trick. I plan on offering a sample handyman business plan on my website www.handyman-business.com

Normally, a typical plan includes a summary of what the business is about, the types of services you plan to offer, a market analysis, marketing

plan offline and online, sales strategy and forecast, a management summary and a financial plan.

Company profile

Be sure to provide information about your business. Specify if it’s a single proprietorship, a partnership or corporation. State the business name you have chosen to use.

Services offered

Explain the services your offer to let your customers know what tasks you are capable of doing.   Your services may include:  assembling and installation of fixtures, painting, plumbing repair, electrical repair, etc.  These should also be specified in your marketing materials including your website.

You can state your competitive edge in this section. This can be on the personalized and quick service you offer or the low rates you charge for minor home repairs. Another come on to customers is to promote that you can call a handyman anytime during the day should the need arises.

Marketing plan

Any business should initiate a marketing strategy to promote what you do to your target audience. Other than attracting more clients, the aim of this is to make people aware of the professional service and the reasonable fees you provide. This can be accomplished through advertising in local newspapers, the yellow pages. Marketing on the internet is also possible whether you want to go for the paid or the free options.

Sales strategy and forecast

It will also help if you can come up with a sales forecast and sales strategy. This will guide you on how much earnings to gain for the different services your offer for the week or for the entire month based on the hourly rate you charge your customers. If you wish, you may also include your annual projection.  For more information on how to start a handyman business visit: http://www.handyman-business.com
